Questions Related to Wounds
Multiple
choice questions within a test setting for evaluation or assessment must
contain a stem, distracters, and one correct answer. The stem should contain
clear and concise information of what the question is asking (University of
Texas at Austin, (2007). The distracters and correct answer should have
plausibility and be homogenous to aid in reliability and validity. Questions with
negative statements such as “NOT” or “EXCEPT” should be used as least as
possible and all choices should be the same length in wording. For example, a
student may see a pattern where the correct answer is always the longest answer
which when lead the student to always assume and choice that answer (McDonald,
2014). For this web log assignment the student is to develop three multiple
choice questions that may be integrated onto a exam or quiz for a course. The
multiple choice items are below that were developed from the Unit 1 Lesson Plan
discussion question related to wounds within the MN511 course (Senn, 2013).
